A Bit About Jo

Jo Surkitt is a dedicated Wellness Educator, Keynote Speaker, and Practitioner with a profound mission to instigate positive change and inspire healthier choices across diverse communities. With over 25 years of experience in the Health & Wellbeing sector, Jo has impacted countless individuals, from employees in small businesses to professionals in large corporations, educators and students in schools, and healthcare industry workers. Her passion for sharing wisdom and experience gained through her multifaceted roles as a practitioner, educator, speaker, and mother is palpable. Jo's personal journey into wellness was ignited in the 90s when, while working in the travel and tourism industry, she faced a series of daunting health challenges, including Chronic Fatigue, Bilharzia, Bells Palsy, and Fibromyalgia. Frustrated by the limitations of Western medicine, Jo embarked on a remarkable journey of healing and self-discovery, which has since become the foundation of her life's work in promoting holistic well-being.

Jo specialises in Creating Positive Change and Healthy Choices in the lives of people of all walks of life. She has worked with many businesses, organisations and individuals over the past two decades in the areas of Professional & Personal Development, Health and Wellbeing, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Resilience and Emotional Intelligence, where she inspires, motivates and educates people in improving their overall happiness and wellbeing.

She is passionate about sharing her wisdom and experience that she has gained as a practitioner, educator, speaker and mum.  Her journey into wellness began in the 90’s when working in the travel industry and was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Bilharzia, Bells Palsy and Fibromyalgia, all around the same time and no western medicine or techniques were improving her illnesses.

Through her Intuitive intelligence, alternative medicine, lifestyle and food changes she was able to eliminate and reduce the majority of her symptoms and lives a life of happiness, fun, exploration and adventure.

She is a passionate traveller, having worked in tourism and wellness retreats for many years.  She has the Wanderlust gene that drives her to continually explore the world.  She has travelled to many countries (56 and counting) learning new cultures and discovering different ways people create a healthy lifestyle; from tribes in Africa to Shaman healers in Peru through to innovative European approaches to natural medicine and wellness, working closely with the Bach Institute in England.

Since 2002, Jo has been changing the lives of people all over the country through my extensive knowledge and years of experience creating programs individually designed to create work life harmony and ensure wellbeing becomes a way of life.
